Service Groups

VIDEO DISCUSSION (Mobile Version) available here.

An essential part of every Congregation is its set of Service Groups, even if there is only one.

On first setup of an empty JwC Congregation only one item is automatically created: An "Unassigned" group.

Until at least one more group is created, when you sign-in, the first data you see will be the Service Group page.

Ideally the "Unassigned" group should never have any members, except (possibly) those disfellowshipped who attend meetings.

Inactive publishers should still be, as the Organization directs, in a recognized Service Group, allowing for proper shepherding.

The Congregation | Service Groups Home Page grid shows just whatever Name your Congregation uses to designate the Group.

Service Group Details or Summaries Pages include just a small amount of additional data that might be helpful in visiting a group other than your own.

Once groups are entered and their members known to JwC, in Settings | Miscellaneous designate yours.

A My Service Group page becomes available listing just those Members in your group; it is a subset of the Congregation Persons page.

The Service Group Details and Summary Pages include a Members Listing button:

Only Congregation Members will be included. If a Head of Household is not a member he will not be included.
